Cleaners ensure that these locations remain clean, safe, and comfortable for pilgrims performing religious rituals.
This role is particularly important because maintaining cleanliness in crowded areas helps prevent health risks and ensures that facilities remain usable for visitors. Workers in this position support municipal and service companies responsible for managing sanitation services during the Hajj period. Their efforts contribute to maintaining public health standards and ensuring that religious activities take place in a safe and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibility of a cleaner is to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas such as public spaces, walkways, tents, and service facilities. Workers collect waste, clean surfaces, and ensure that garbage is properly disposed of in designated locations. They may also assist in maintaining hygiene in temporary facilities set up for pilgrims.
Cleaners must follow hygiene standards and work schedules provided by supervisors. During the Hajj season, cleaning duties may involve working in crowded environments, so workers must remain attentive and cooperative with team members. Maintaining discipline, following instructions, and completing assigned tasks on time are important parts of this job.
Skills and Professional Knowledge
Candidates applying for cleaning positions should be physically fit and capable of working long hours in outdoor environments. Since work may involve standing, walking, and lifting materials for extended periods, basic physical endurance is important.

Position: Cleaner (Hajj Service)
Project Location: Mecca – Work Areas in Arafat and Mina
Project Duration: Up to 3 Months
Duty Hours: 10–12 Hours Per Day
Salary: 1900 SAR
