Description
Work Permit Receivers (WPR) and E&I HVAC QC specialists are critical roles in industrial and construction projects, particularly in high-risk environments such as oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, and large-scale infrastructure sites. The WPR ensures that all work performed in these projects is authorized, documented, and compliant with stringent safety and operational standards. They act as a control point for hazardous work, preventing accidents and maintaining smooth operations. E&I HVAC QC professionals oversee quality control in electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC systems, guaranteeing that installations and maintenance work meet project specifications and industry standards. Together, these roles safeguard operational efficiency while maintaining safety and quality on site.
Key Responsibilities
Work Permit Receivers are responsible for reviewing, authorizing, and monitoring all work permits on-site. This includes checking that proper documentation is available, verifying that workers are trained and qualified, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures. WPRs liaise with supervisors, engineers, and field personnel to prevent any unsafe or unauthorized activities. E&I HVAC QC specialists, on the other hand, conduct inspections, review technical documentation, and verify that all electrical and HVAC systems are installed according to design standards. They also identify defects, recommend corrective actions, and maintain detailed quality reports. Both roles require vigilant attention to detail and proactive communication to prevent accidents and maintain project timelines.
Skills and Knowledge
Successful candidates for WPR positions must have extensive experience in industrial environments, preferably five years of Aramco-approved WPR work. They should be proficient in permit-to-work systems, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Required documentation includes a valid WPR card, delegation letter, and SAPMT training scores. For E&I HVAC QC roles, candidates must possess a strong technical background in electrical and HVAC systems, including knowledge of installation, troubleshooting, and quality standards. Both roles demand excellent organizational skills, the ability to coordinate with multiple teams, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Effective communication and attention to safety are essential to ensure seamless project operations.
